UniRoyal Jazz Combo - Goettingen

UniRoyal - a 12-piece Jazz combo with a classy horn section. Entertainment for Jazz clubs, events or easylistemning.
Young musicians with the common goal of having fun playing Jazz. On our concerts we perform a variety of songs in different styles, from Swing to Blues, from Latin and Soul, Funk to Rap pieces like Midnight At The Oasis or Street Life. Even excursions to the Glamour genre are included like Björk’s It’s Oh So Quiet. The cast-iron rhythm section and the drive-through horns are the basis for the creative soli and the warm jazzy-soulful vocals. [more...]

Utmost Big Band

De Utmost Big Band is een gezellige band bestaande uit enthousiaste en muzikale studenten van de Universiteit Twente. We spelen in de 'standaard' big band bezetting van 5 saxofoons, 4 trompetten, 4 trombones, en een ritmesectie bestaande uit gitaar, piano, bas, drums. Afhankelijk van het muzikale studentenaanbod heeft de Utmost Big Band ook dikwijls een vaste percussionist en/of een vocalist(e) in de gelederen.

Naast regelmatige optredens bij evenementen op de Universiteit Twente en in de regio neemt de Utmost Bigband deel aan concoursen. Dit seizoen zowel aan de Dutch Big Band Contest als het Nationaal Big Band Concours. In 2007 heeft de Utmost Big Band meegedaan aan het Alma Jazz Festival [more...]
