Baraná

Baraná is the musical crossover concept of Turkish singer and multi-instrumentalist Behsat Üvez and Dutch reed player Steven Kamperman. Since 2002, they have led a series op projects together.

Baraná champions new music that contains lots of diversity and playful improvisations, but never forgets its age-old roots. A recurrent feature of the Baraná- ensembles is 'the meeting': of ideas, of cultures and of strong musical personalities... thus creating an unheard-of language
