Flute Journeys with Judith Pertz
Flute Journeys with Judith Pertz & Company is een nieuwe groep van Judith Pertz, waarin haar instrument, de dwarsfluit, een centrale rol vervult. Met deze groep brengt ze het programma `...and a Window'. Het kwintet straalt een enorme energie uit in afwisselend en subtiel samenspel.
Judith Pertz' band bestaat uit bekwame musici met uiteenlopende achtergronden. Uit hun spel blijkt een levendige betrokkenheid met elkaar en met het publiek. De composities van Judith Pretz en pianist Bam Commijs vallen onder de noemer hedendaagse romantiek en tonen invloeden uit swingende jazz, klassieke- en wereldmuziek. De improvisaties groeien uit de kern van de composities.
Stukken als `Ontdroef mijn Mhyrre Gewijde Avond', `Conflict' en `Huis' gebruiken tekst en stemgeluiden als onderdeel van de expressieve muziek.
