Improvisor, composer Mark Alban Lotz mostly is active in the field of avantgarde and world music. Within this intimate quartet setting the focus here lies on Mark's virtuosity within the jazz canon. Next to lot'z of compositions by Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, Mark Lotz selects its repertoire from the vast number of regrettably lesser known but equally fine tunes out of the American and Brazilian fare, which turn out to be highly suitable for flute.
