Masha Bijlsma Band
with great power of persuasion Masha Bijlsma sings classic jazzsongs as well as compositions/arrangements from the members of her band, using repertoire from diverging composers as Thelonious Monk, Fats Waller, Jasper van 't Hof, Nat Adderley, Charlie Haden and Kate Bush.In spring '92 Masha's Band was the support act of the Billy Cobham Band and her career rocketed since then: she very succesfully performs with her band, playing international festivals (Rostock, Bonn, Bingen, Gronau, Wiehl, Worms, Dresden, Chur, North Sea, Roma,
Neuwied, Drum Rhythm Amsterdam) and doing many clubgigs in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Danmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Greece, Luxemburg, Italy, Bulgeria,Indonesia and the USA.
TV and radio performances in Indonesia, Sweden, Greece, Danmark, Belgium, Austin (USA).
Guest-soloists with the Masha Bijlsma Band a.o.: Tony Lakatos, Benny Bailey, Bob Malach, Gary Thomas, Jarmo Hoogendijk.

Hein Vandegeyn. In May '00 'PROFILE' has been nominated for the EDISON JAZZ AWARD 2000. This 'Dutch GRAMMY' is the most prestigious award in the Netherlands;
Masha's fourth CD LOPIN' (feat. Bob Malach, Jarmo Hoogendijk, Ruud Breuls, Bart van Lier)
has been released March 2003. In 2004 Masha released a compilation CD: THREE IN ONE.
