Saskia Laroo is one of those all too few professional musicians, especially in the jazz world, who are not afraid to be mentioned in the entertainment world. In her own words: "I like when people have a good time and dance while I play. I don ’t want to play just for other [musicians]." Striking the heart and the eye she always keeps stylish: as well as to her musical performance as to her rendering on the stage.
With her trumpet, equipped with a wireless transmitting microphone and special effects devices around her waist Saskia loves to "lounge around" and play hot licks and funky bop solo improvisations surrounded by dancing audiences. She is able to produce top show and contribute an extra dimension to contemporary trip-hop, house, R&B, hip-hop and drum’n’bass.

Saskia has performed with DJ Ken Ishi from Japan (with Hans Dulfer), DJ P Julm (Rulers of Deep, Estonia), Dutch DJ’s Ronald Molendijk, Franky D, Michel le Hey, DJ Dimitri, Arley etc. She was performing at Olympic Stadion of Seoul with her own backing tape. MTV showed her performance with DJ when she was performing at Naomi Campbell Party in prestigeous Cipriani Hall in New York.
