Cape May Jazz Festival

Image of 'Cape May Jazz Festival' The Cape May Jazz Festival has a history of growth-beginning with two bands at our first festival and now nineteen -from attendance of less than 1000 to 6000-all in just seven short years! 
  
The momentum is clearly here. 
The Jazz Festival is becoming a nationally known and acclaimed festival. Why not, Cape May is the perfect backdrop, located only one tank of gas away from 25% of the U.S. population. We are extending Cape May's season at both ends. 
The Jazz Festival provides Cape May with its first big weekend of the spring and its last big weekend of the fall.

Coleman Hawkins Neighbourhood Festival

Image of 'Coleman Hawkins Neighbourhood Festival' Though born in St. Joseph, Missouri, jazz legend Coleman Randolph Hawkins began his long recording / performing career here in Topeka, Kansas. While living with friends of his family here, he was first introduced to the saxophone while attending the original Topeka High School.

The mission of the Coleman Hawkins Commemorative Committee and the Coleman Hawkins Neighborhood Festival (a.k.a. HawkFest) is to commemorate the great, innovative life and legend of this extraordinary artist whose musical roots lie right here with us.
